Lisa Dombrowski is an associate professor in the Film Studies Department of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. She received her BA in Film Studies and American Studies at Wesleyan University, and her MA and PhD in Communication Arts/Film Studies from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is the author of The Films of Samuel Fuller: If You Die, I'll Kill You! and the editor of Kazan Revisited. Her areas of research and teaching include the history of film form and style, the American film industry, independent and art cinema, and East Asian cinema.
